Your Hosts

Tom Beran took over as landlord of the Coalheavers Arms in June 2007. He was the manager of the Oakdale Arms in London for over three years and in that time won both the North London CAMRA pub of the Season and Pub of the Year awards. A keen curry cook, Tom also worked as a chef in the Pembury Tavern for six months to see if he liked the lifestyle, but decided he missed the banter and social side of the job. Often bearded and famously bad at punning Tom first visited the Coalheavers over five years ago while helping out on a beer delivery and thought it would be a nice place to run one day...
