A traditional pub. No music, no machines with flashing lights, no
jukebox, no pool table and no television (although we do have free
wireless internet access which you are welcome to make use of; just
ask at the bar for the password).
Eight handpumps serving top-notch real ales from Milton Brewery and
other independent breweries around the country. One handpump serving
real cider (usually Moles Black Rat) and Westons country perry always
on. Our only concession to Keg is Taddington Brewery's Moravka, an
excellent craft-brewed british lager from Buxton.
We are proud of our selection of bottled continental beers, usual
and unusual spirits, and a fine selection of single malt whiskys.
We serve fresh rolls Friday along with huge doorstep sandwiches on
Sunday — we also host occasional bbqs and curry nights — why not
become a fan of the pub on facebook to receive email updates of any
events?
The Coalheavers has two excellent beer festivals a year in May and
September.
The pub is very dog friendly with a large garden.
We serve fresh rolls Friday–Sunday.
